The story behind the bakery that became a KL institution.
It all began with a family who shared a deep love for baking, delighting in spreading the joy of their creations with friends and loved ones. Their passion led them to open a charming little bread shop in Taman Midah, KL, aptly named KLCG Bakery—borrowing the initials from “Kuala Lumpur City Gallery,” a nod to their roots.
In 2020, this dedicated team lovingly hand-baked every loaf, baguette, and roll each day. And the cronuts? Those were a delightful surprise! With the pandemic slowing things down, an empty shop became the perfect playground for a baking experiment. One sample batch later, and cronuts were flying off the shelves, quickly becoming a bakery icon. Our cozy shop soon became a neighborhood favorite and a must-visit destination for epicurious travelers from around the globe.
Fast forward more than four years, and we’ve spread the joy of KLCG to even more neighborhoods and croissant enthusiasts. Our incredible team continues to use the finest ingredients and a whole lot of love in everything we bake, serving up moments of delicious delight to brighten your day.

The name “KLCG Confectionery and Bakery” has special meaning, rooted in our family’s love for Kuala Lumpur. “KLCG” stands for “Kuala Lumpur City Gallery,” which was part of our family legacy. Inspired by this connection, we opened our first dine-in store within the gallery itself, honoring our heritage and the community that has always supported us.

Our family’s bread business began in the kitchen at Taman Midah. The success of the iconic cronut propelled us to open our first dine-in café at the gallery—a significant milestone in our journey. This growth exceeded our wildest dreams and marked a turning point for us. And then, the rest is history.
